Bookbinding workshops Summer 2024

Here are some bookbinding workshops that I am giving this summer. These group workshops are suitable for a range of abilities: from beginners and improvers.

1. Strong Sketchbook

What: In this two-day workshop, participants will create their own strong sketchbook, folding and sewing signatures into a multi-section hard back book. It will be covered in a mixture of book cloth and paste paper – both of which we will create during the workshop.

2. Art of Making Books

What: In this five-day workshop, participants will explore the potential of artists’ books: experimenting with sculptural book structures that use printed matter from nature as a starting point to create vibrant and textural printed artworks.

When: 12th – 16th August 2024 OR 19th – 23rd August 2024
