Book launch: Creative writing and bookmaking workshop

I am delighted to launch ‘Parallel Studies’, an artist book combining poems and prints created by poet Grace Wilentz and I. The launch will consist of a bookmaking and creative writing workshop taking place entirely outdoors in the environs of the XPO on Sunday 6th September from 2-5pm.

As a participant you will make your own handmade book and then take part in a walk which incorporates writing exercises to spark creativity. The walk will engage with the idea of getting away from the writing desk as a way to re-immerse yourself in absorbing and creating, filling your new book as you go.

‘Parallel Studies’ is a collection of poetry intertwined with snippets of artwork as the book unfolds. The book plays with the form of visual poetry, using imagery and paper to create meditative spaces within its structure. It is the culmination of a 3-year postal collaboration between poet Grace Wilentz and I. This special book was designed and hand-bound by the duo and is a limited edition book signed by the artists.
